Empowering students to discover their passion.

You Are Needed helps high school students discover a wide variety of career opportunities through real-world connections with industry professionals, and serves as a pathway to education and training required for any number of future opportunities. We empower students to discover their passion in life, and steer them onto the optimal educational path to achieve their goals.

About Us

We are professionals and educators who strive to guide students in discovering paths to professions they are interested in. It is our belief that when students target their interests into careers, they will gain knowledge within that field, become active players in their educational journey, and be motivated to stay in school, channeling their coursework and activities into a rewarding and successful career.

Forum Description

During a 1-hour forum at high schools, professionals and academics from various disciplines briefly discuss their education, training, and career path, then field questions from a moderator and also take questions from student participants.

Get Involved

We are actively seeking out volunteers in a wide variety of professional fields who are willing to offer a few hours of their time to share stories about their academic and career paths. We are also looking to pair professionals with students for a more interactive mentorship opportunity. In addition, we are always seeking out high schools willing to host our forums.
